Question

What exactly is a custom shape diecut?

Answer

A custom shape die-cut is a printed product cut into a non-standard outline using a steel rule die. Instead of a rectangle, your business card, sticker, postcard, or label is cut to any shape you design, from a logo to an abstract form. The die is built to match your artwork's cut path.

  • Works on business cards, stickers, postcards, and labels
  • The die is custom-made to follow your outline exactly
  • You supply a vector cut line so the shape is precise

Common shapes include circles, ovals, leaves and silhouettes, and the process also works on hang tags. Put the cut line (die line) on its own layer, separate from the printed design.
