4OVER4 FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about products, files, ordering, shipping and more, answered by the team that has printed since 1999.

Start with the name. 4 over 4, written 4/4 on a print order, means four ink colors on the front and four on the back: cyan, magenta, yellow and black, the CMYK set, printed on both sides. 4/0 is full color on the front with a blank back, and 4/1 is full color front with black ink only on the back, the usual choice when the back carries plain text. Most jobs on this site, business cards, postcards, flyers and booklets, run 4/4 or 4/0, so settle that first, then stock, then coating, then turnaround.
