How to Choose a Table Banner for Your Business Booth

Start with what has to disappear. Every table at a show has cases, cables, a coat and a half-eaten sandwich under it, and the style you pick is really a decision about how much of that the public sees.

Print quality is not the variable here. All four are dye sublimated on polyester, so the ink is inside the fiber rather than sitting on it, and the color looks identical across the range. What changes is fit and reach. A table runner starts at $97.76 and packs into a tote. A table throw starts at $225.00 and turns any borrowed table into your table. A stretch table cover starts at $250.00 and looks the sharpest of the three, as long as the table underneath is the one it was cut for.

Table sizes are standardized enough that you can plan around them, and different enough that guessing costs you the show. A 6 ft folding table is 72 by 30 inches on top and stands about 29 inches high. An 8 ft table is 96 by 30 inches at the same height. Polyester holds a crease at every fold, and a folded table cover pulled out of a bag an hour before doors open looks like a folded table cover. Roll it around a tube or over itself instead. If it has been folded, hang it the night before and the creases mostly drop out on their own, and ten minutes with a handheld steamer finishes the job.

Washing is straightforward because of how the print is made. Dye sublimation turns the ink into gas that bonds inside the polyester, so cold machine washing and low tumble drying do not crack or lift it. Skip bleach and fabric softener, wash it on its own so nothing bleeds into it, and take it out slightly damp so it dries flat. Iron only on the reverse and only on a low setting, since a hot plate on polyester leaves a shiny mark that will not come out.

On cost, count shows rather than months. A runner at $97.76 assumes you keep a clean base cloth working alongside it, so the real spend is the runner plus the cloth. A throw at $225.00 stands on its own and copes with whatever table appears. A stretch cover at $250.00 is the sharpest of the three and the least tolerant, so it earns its keep in a showroom or on a table you always control.
