Shaped Roll Labels

Important Artwork Notice!

Custom Shaped Roll Label File Guidelines: Custom Shape File must be created as vector and saved as either an EPS or PDF. Custom Shape File must represent the cut line. Custom Shape File must be only in 100% black, either 0.5pt or 1pt thick. Thin lines and small shapes are not recommended for custom shaped roll labels. Bleed for the Custom Shaped Roll Labels must be 0.125" from the cut line on all sides. Choose the size that best fits your needs and upload the Front CMYK file as well as the Cut Shape File.

How to Pick the Right Size for Your Label: You must select the available size that fits both dimensions of your label. If your label is 2.75" X 3.5",  the correct size to select is 4" x 4"; it's the smallest available size that will allow us to fit and cut your label to size comfortably, without losing design details, quality or surface space.

Put Your Real Outline on a Roll That's Ready to Apply

Trimmed to your artwork outline, a shaped roll label lets your logo or product mark keep its true edge instead of getting boxed into a rectangle. Because it arrives wound on a roll rather than stacked on a sheet, it peels and sticks fast by hand and feeds cleanly through an applicator when you scale up. Sealing a jar, wrapping a bottle, or marking a shipping case, it makes your brand read exactly the way you drew it. Shaped roll labels start at $300.05 for a roll of 250, rated 4.9 out of 5 across 109 reviews.

Each label prints full color and is cut to your own outline, the roll winds on a standard 3" core that fits hand dispensers and applicators, and a waterproof material covers anything that lives outdoors. Sheet labels, round rolls and die-cut singles are on labels printing.

A roll of 250 suits a first batch of jars or a market season for a small maker. A brand that labels on an applicator orders 1,000 or more, the best-rated quantity here, and the per-label cost keeps falling toward 25,000.

What Are Shaped Roll Labels

Shaped roll labels are custom-cut adhesive labels delivered on a continuous roll rather than a sheet, printed full color in 6 square sizes from 1" x 1" up to 6" x 6", each trimmed to your custom shape. People reach for them to seal jars and pouches, wrap candles and bottles, tag products, and mark cases and cartons. Because they come rolled on a 3" core, they peel and stick fast by hand and feed straight into a label applicator for higher volume. If you want a fixed geometric outline instead of a fully custom one, the Roll Round Labels and Roll Oval Labels cover those shapes on the same roll format.

What Size Should a Shaped Roll Label Be

Size the label by how the shape reads on the product. A 1" x 1" label is perfect for a small seal, a cap sticker, or a tamper mark. A 2" x 2" or 3" x 3" gives a jar, a pouch, or a candle room to show the outline. A 4" x 4", 5" x 5", or the full 6" x 6" reads as the product face, with space for the shape to command attention. If your artwork suits a clean die-cut edge without a roll, the Die-Cut Labels are the sheet-and-single alternative.

Pick a material that fits where the label lives

White Gloss is the indoor standard, clean and bright for boxes, folders, and shelf products that stay dry. Reach for White BOPP when the label needs to survive moisture: it is a waterproof film rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so it holds up on a bottle in ice, a cooler, a wash-down, or a bin left outside. The default White Gloss keeps it simple and the price lowest, and either material takes your custom shape in full color.

Add a lamination when the label takes abuse

On top of either material you can add a laminate. A gloss coat brings shine and scuff resistance for a label that gets handled. A matte/silk coat reads soft and low-glare, which suits a premium or natural look. Skip the lamination entirely to keep the order lean. The choice sits right in the configurator and updates the price as you pick.

Set the unwind so labels feed the right way

Every roll winds on a standard 3" core, the size most applicators expect. If you run a machine, you choose whether the top, bottom, left, or right of your copy dispenses first, so labels feed into the applicator in the exact orientation the line needs. Applying by hand? Leave it on Not Important and just peel and stick.

How Much Do Shaped Roll Labels Cost

Shaped roll labels start at $300.05 per roll of 250, and the per-label price keeps dropping as the quantity climbs toward 25,000, so the length of the run sets the price of each label. The best-rated quantity here is 1,000, at $415.27, a common landing spot for a product launch. Count the units you will label before the next reorder, set the slider below to that number, and read the roll total and the per-label cost.

Can Shaped Roll Labels Go Outdoors

Yes, if you choose the White BOPP material. BOPP is a waterproof film rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so it handles the moisture, cold, and wash-downs that would ruin a paper label. Use it for drink bottles, coolers, outdoor bins, and anything that meets water. For dry indoor products the standard White Gloss works fine and costs less. Add a gloss or matte/silk lamination on top of either material and the label picks up extra scuff resistance for a surface that gets touched a lot.

How to Order a Shaped Roll Label

Five settings turn an outline into a roll that feeds.

  • Size: anywhere from 1" x 1" up to 6" x 6". That is the space the label runs at, and the cut follows your outline inside it.
  • Material: White Gloss for anything dry and indoors, waterproof White BOPP for bottles, coolers and bins that meet water.
  • Lamination: gloss for shine, matte or silk for a low glare finish, or none at all to keep the order lean.
  • Unwind: pick which edge of the copy dispenses first so the roll feeds an applicator the right way up, or leave it on Not Important and peel by hand.
  • Proof: a free online proof before the run, or Straight To Production once the file is final.

Production runs 6 business days, and a job can be anything from a roll of 250 up to 25,000 labels.

Shaped Roll Labels: Frequently Asked Questions

How much do custom shaped roll labels cost?

From $300.05 for a roll of 250. The per-label price keeps falling as the roll grows, down to about 8 cents each by 25,000, so the real cost comes down to how big a run you order. A small test roll and a full production roll print on the same die.

What materials can I choose?

Two. White Gloss paper is the indoor pick for jars, boxes and shelf goods. White BOPP is a waterproof film rated for indoor and outdoor, so it holds up on bottles, coolers and bath products. Both can take a gloss laminate for shine or a matte/silk laminate for a low-glare finish.

What sizes and shapes can I get?

6 sizes, from a small 1" x 1" accent up to a 6" x 6" front-of-pack label, each one die-cut to your own custom outline instead of a plain square. The same artwork scales from a lid seal to a hero panel.

Which core and unwind direction do they ship on?

A 3" core, with 5 unwind positions. That lets you set the label to feed the right way through a label applicator, or it peels clean by hand if you are applying them yourself.

How long does production take?

6 business days, then the labels ship from our New York or Florida facility. You can approve a free online proof first to check the die path and colors, or send it straight to production when the file is locked.

Are these waterproof?

The White BOPP film option is waterproof and rated for indoor and outdoor use, so it shrugs off condensation, a fridge and a quick scrub. White Gloss paper is the brighter indoor-only choice. A gloss or matte/silk laminate adds extra scuff protection on top.

How do I make my own custom labels?

Draw the outline you want cut as part of the artwork, then set the size the label runs at, from 1 by 1 inch up to 6 by 6. Pick White Gloss or waterproof White BOPP, add a gloss or matte laminate if the label gets handled, and upload the file. A free online proof lets you check the shape and the color before the roll runs.

How can I design my own labels for free?

This product prints from the file you supply, so the artwork can come from whatever tool you already use. Set the size, upload the file, and take the free online proof to confirm the cut follows your outline before anything runs. If the shape needs changing, the proof is the moment to catch it rather than after 250 labels are wound on a core.

How to order custom shaped stickers?

Shaped stickers and shaped labels are the same job here. Pick a size from 1 by 1 inch up to 6 by 6, choose White Gloss for indoor use or waterproof White BOPP for anything that meets water, then order from a roll of 250 up to 25,000. They arrive wound on a 3 inch core rather than on a sheet, which is what makes them quick to peel and apply by hand.
